The advancement in technology lately has also come along with many disadvantages, and now nothing seems as private as before. Gadgets today have been invented to acquire all the intelligence required for a device to be a spying tool. They can record voices, videos, and even room and body temperatures.

Several people today however have used this as an advantage, husbands spying on their wives, parents monitoring their kids, and employers controlling and knowing what workers say about them in their absence. It’s all a result of advancements in technology. Your Phone is spying on you, it’s possible. It could be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the context in which these devices are used. Many of these devices we stay with, Smartphones (of course they are smart devices) smart watches, GPS trackers, and computers can mean everything when it comes to a person’s privacy.

How could your phone be spying on you? It’s a good question, I mean. You have been with this phone, or this computer for a while and you don’t remember any day you gave it out to someone for a whole day. However, the mere fact that you receive certain files over a network, social media say mp3 files, documents, and anything else may be a reason that will make you read more and deeper. I have researched and tested these ten facts that will prove to you that your phone is spying on you, you will never know until you are told.

1. New apps you never installed

The first proof to show that your phone is spying on you is the applications you find installed without your permission. Many times we find applications that we never installed on our home screen and unknowingly sometimes we start using them. It’s so dangerous, that I advise you to frequently check through your home screen and install apps for any applications you did not or don’t remember to have installed. However, there are some spy apps that neither will appear on your home screen nor in installed applications. These are advanced spy apps that may not be detected easily even with antivirus installed on your phone. But the idea of not seeing the Daemon application on your home screen doesn’t completely disregard the fact that your phone is spying on you, below are more proofs.

2. Rapid Battery Usage

Spy applications tend to drain phone batteries faster than the usual battery life. It’s advisable under normal circumstances to examine your battery life and usage after fully charging until the next time you charge again. This will help you notice the abnormality of your battery life once a spy app is installed on your phone. Have you noticed your battery needs charging all the time? It’s possible someone got access to your device. But keep in mind that your phone battery life diminishes with time, it’s natural, so don’t be dramatic.

Sometimes it’s also possible that your battery is fully charged and eventually your phone just shuts down by itself regularly, it may happen if you have some virus on your device or spy apps. These are the only cause of sudden shutting off your phone if not internal hardware breakdown of your phone battery.

    3. Weird Text messages with no source

Do you receive unusual weird texts that contain symbols, characters, or random numbers? You can see these messages because spy software sends these secret coded messages to your phone. Have you noticed these texts appear regularly? Then you may have a spy program installed on the device and someone could be using your phone to spy on you, ideally, your phone is spying on you. Spy applications record every phone’s daily activity right from the texts you send or receive to WhatsApp online calls and it sends these details to the email of the person who installed it in your phone. It could be your lover, your ex, or your parents.

    4. Continuous Background activities

A phone’s behavior may change completely once a spy phone has been installed, it will not function as expected. Background activities of a phone shall run continuously and will cause it to behave in unusual ways. You may notice that your phone suddenly lights up even not in use, makes random beeping strange sounds, or shuts down suddenly. From time to time, all phones can do strange things. If you noticed it happening, maybe your phone has a hidden spy program that is intended to track and spy on your daily activities.

    5. High Data Usage

It’s not normal behavior for your phone to be consuming a lot of data even after restricting data usage. The behavior is tagged to unusual software that may be present in your phone and may tend to use the internet without your permission. However, besides the viruses and spy apps, different settings in your phone may lead it to consume a lot of data more so if it is set up on 4G or the latest internet connectivity of 5G. Therefore you must ensure that all settings are set up correctly to limit high data usage by your phone applications.

    6. Delay In Shut Down

Have you ever noticed that your phone takes some time to shut down even after pressing the power off button? If the power button isn’t faulty, then there is no other explanation for such malfunctions apart from spyware and viruses. Any normal phone should correctly and immediately respond to commands once executed.

    7. Timely Popup

This is very common with phones that have broken software. Most phones that have such issues may be running operating systems that is not meant for them, For example, a Samsung J6’s duplicated version running an operating system of an original J6 will continuously have such warnings in the form of Popup. If your phone is an original smartphone bought from trusted suppliers, then there should be no reason for it to bring up such occasional PopUps. It might be having spyware, another clear proof that your phone is spying on you.

      8. Phone Slowing Down

Again, it’s not normal for a phone to lag behind the commands you instruct it to execute. If it’s not about RAM and internal memory space running low, perhaps a warning will appear in any case when your phone memory is running low. Outside that, I am afraid your phone is spying on you without you realizing. Someone must have planted malware or spyware to track and know what you do in his or her absence, could be your boss. What do you think?

      9. Strange Suspicious Files

If your phone has a file manager, you should check for any weird files or folders planted in your phone. Every application you install by default gets a folder in your file manager, but by any chance, if you find a folder that has no source, it may be a spy app folder and you must delete it immediately. In most cases, those folders contain files and information being stolen from your phone and in other cases the information of the source where your details are being posted.

      10. Unusual Noise Making A Call

All calls either multiple calls or single calls must always be silent and clear. If it’s not you or the person you are calling talking, then there should be no sounds heard on either end. However, when a phone has malware or spyware installed, it tends to generate continuous weird noises while calling. Have you ever noticed your phone producing such noise when on a call? Be sure about the person you ever left your phone with even if it’s one to three minutes.

Final Notice when your phone is spying on you

Spyware are small program that someone can install on your phone in less than ten seconds. One symptom of the ten I have listed above may not ideally conclude that your phone is spying on you, but as well, a combination of more than three symptoms might be clear proof that your phone is spying on you. There is no explanation for any malfunction of a device if there is no intended reason for it behaving weirdly. Be sure and know your phone entirely because it holds part of your privacy.
