Android’s nearby share feature is convenient when it comes to sharing applications and files. This is because it already comes pre-installed on your smartphone. You do not need to install it from the app store at all. The other bit of it that makes it convenient is its user-friendly. Sharing files and apps is not that complicated to do at all!
You enable the feature when you are sending or receiving files. In this case, open the Files app on your Android phone. Then, tap on the Nearby Share button. There, you’ll tap on receive, if you’re receiving or send if you’re sending the files to another device.
1. Pick something that you’d like to share and hit the share button.
2. Tap the Nearby Share icon that looks like two twisted lines on something you want to share.
3. Select the receiving device from the devices nearby.
4. Once the recipient accepts the file, it will start sharing.

1. Download Google’s Nearby Share Beta for Windows. Install it on your Windows PC.
2. Double-click the BetterTogetherSetup.exe file to begin the installation.
3. Once the Nearby Share app is installed, click the Sign in button to link your Google account. If you don’t want to do that, click Use without an account instead.
4. Under “Visible to others as” enter a name for your device.
5. Under “Receiving“, specify who is allowed to share files with your computer: Everyone, Contacts, Your devices, or No one.
6. Lastly, click Done. Now you can send and receive files from an Android phone to your PC.
Nearby Share is a file-sharing feature available on Android devices that allows users to quickly and easily share files, links, and other content with nearby devices. Unfortunately, this feature is not currently available on iPhones therefore you can not use Nearby Share to share files from an Android phone to an iPhone. However, there are other ways to transfer files between Android and iPhone devices, such as using Xender.
