Step 1: Create Kyambogo University Applicant Account
1. Navigate to apply.kyu.ac.ug/ and click on Register Now button.
2. On the create account page, enter the required details including your name as they appear on your academic documents, email address, phone number, and gender. After filling in the information as prompted, click on Register.
3. One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered phone number and email (If you can’t see the message from the inbox folder on your email, check the Spam folder).

Step 2: Apply for Any Programme at Kyambogo University
1. Visit the KYU application portal.
2. Login with your email address and the One Time Password that was sent to your email address or phone number.
3. Once you are logged in successfully, change the password as prompted to proceed.
3. Click on APPLY NOW section displayed at the top menu bar then select the scheme that you are applying for. There are two schemes, Postgraduate Schemes, and Undergraduate Schemes.
4. Tap on APPLY NOW on any preferred option under your selected scheme.
5. On the next page, fill in all the required information as prompted. You will have to fill in details of your Bio information, next of kin, O’Level information, A’Level information, Degree information, Masters’s information, Programme choices, and permanent address. For each completed section, you will see a checkmark.
6. Once you have filled in all the required fields, tap on Submit. Your application will be submitted immediately. However, in order to finalize that whole application process you will need to make payment for the application form. Click on Generate Payment Reference, copy your reference, and make payment of the required amount. Once payment is made, the payment status will change from Pending to PAID. Hereafter, you will have completed the application process thoroughly.

How to Know if you have Been Admitted to Kyambogo University?
Once you have submitted your application, the waiting game begins. Kyambogo University will share on its social media platforms that they have released the admission lists of those who applied for certain programs. Ordinarily, the admission list of those who got admitted will feature in the national newspapers. However, checking through the long list is daunting, you can choose to find out your admission status in the comfort of your living room on any internet-enabled device;
1. To check if you have been admitted for that program or course that you applied for, go to https://apply.kyu.ac.ug/ and log in using your email address or phone number then confirm identification with your password.
2. Once you are logged in successfully, click on Admission History. The admission history page will showcase a record of your admission status.
