How to Pay for M-Kopa Phone via MTN Mobile Money
For MTN users: *165*4*1*4*2# is the shortcode for paying via MTN Mobile Money (MoMo) in Uganda.
- Dial *165#.
- Select Option 4 “Payments“
- Select Option 1 “Utilities“
- Select Option 4 “Solar Services“
- Select Option 2 “MKOPA“
- Enter your Mkopa Account number (The account number is the number you used to register the phone)
- Enter the amount to pay
- Enter your MTN mobile money pin code to confirm payment to MKOPA

How to Pay for M-Kopa Phone via Airtel Money
For Airtel users: *185*4*4*1# is the shortcode for paying via Airtel.
- Dial *185#
- Select Option 4 “Pay Bill“
- Select Option 4 “Pay Solar“
- Select Option 1 “MKOPA“
- Enter the Amount to be paid to M-Kopa
- Enter the reference ( your Mkopa Account number – The account number is the number you used to register the phone)
- Enter your PIN to confirm payment of the amount.
