Airtel eSIM Price in Uganda
Airtel eSIM is available to customers at no extra cost. This means that there are no additional fees or charges associated with acquiring an Airtel eSIM. Unlike physical SIM cards, which may incur costs such as replacement fees, the Airtel eSIM can be acquired for free at any Airtel store in Uganda.
How to Get Airtel eSIM in Uganda
Now that you have all the needed requirements to swap your physical Airtel SIM card for the Airtel eSIM, follow the steps below to achieve your goal;
1. Before thinking of acquiring an Airtel SIM, it’s essential to ensure that your device supports eSIM. To find out, dial *#06# on your mobile- and if your device is compatible, it will show an EID number.
2. Once you’ve confirmed that your device supports eSIM, the next step is to visit the nearest Airtel Store in your area. You will need to carry your device in which your Airtel line is active and a valid form of identification, such as a passport, national ID card, or driver’s license.
3. At the Airtel shop, inform the teller or customer care attendant that you would like to switch to eSIM. You will be availed a SIM Swap form, fill in all the required details.
Present your ID and SIM Swap form to the customer care attendant. The attendant will initiate the SIM swap process and set up the eSIM function on your device.
Quick Note: Once the Sim swap process is successful, you can trash the physical sim card attached to that number since it will be deemed non-functioning after esim is established.
