Before you start the process of connecting your device to Wifi, ensure that your modem and router are set up and your network is connected to the internet. For configuration details, refer to your modem and router manuals, or contact your internet provider or the device manufacturer for assistance.
Steps to Connect to WiFi on your Android TV
Step 1: Press the home button remote on your supplied remote to open the home page.
Step 2: Go to the Settings app (the gear icon).
Step 3: Under General Settings, select “Network & Internet.”
Step 4: Select the WiFi option and press OK on your remote to toggle on the WiFi connection on your Android TV.
Step 5: Once the WiFi connection is enabled, a list of available networks will pop up. If you want to see more available networks, click See all.
Step 6: Select the WiFi network that you want to connect to.
Step 7: Enter the password for the selected network.
Step 8: If the password that you entered is correct, your device will connect to the WiFi network successfully.
How to Forget WiFi Network on your Android TV
Once you have successfully connected to a particular WiFi network, it will be saved to your device. This means that your device will automatically connect to a particular WiFi network. However much auto-connections come with a list of advantages, they can be nagging especially if you face connection disruptions every now and then. Here is how you can forget a WiFi Network on your Android TV.
Step 1: Press the home button remote on your supplied remote to open the home page.
Step 2: Go to the Settings app (the gear icon).
Step 3: Under General Settings, select “Network & Internet.”
Step 4: Select the WiFi option and press OK on your remote to toggle on the WiFi connection on your Android TV.
Step 5: From the list of available networks, select and click on the network that you want to forget.
Step 6: Scroll down to and select “Forget Network.”
Note: Accepting to forget a particular WiFi network will remove the network from the Saved networks and all log-in details including password and username will be deleted. To join that particular network, you will be required to enter a password and username.
