How to Add Music to a Facebook Story

Facebook has made it possible to add music to a Facebook story for both pictures and videos. This Facebook feature works relatively the same way just like how you can add music to Instagram stories. Irrespective of the type of music you want to add, this process is similar to adding other effects like stickers, and text on your Facebook story. This article shows you how to add music to a picture on Facebook both on Android phones and iOS.

Add Music to a Facebook Story

• Launch the Facebook app on your phone. Once it is launched, tap “Create a Story” or “Add to Story” at the top left corner of the newsfeed.
• Select a picture from the camera roll or click the camera icon at the bottom center of the page to take a picture.
• Once you have selected the picture, tap the Music icon at the bottom of the screen. If it doesn’t show, then click the stickers icon at the top right corner and tap on the Music icon. The Music icon will launch the music options page with popular songs, categories, and a search bar.
• Tap the song that you like from the listed options or search for a particular song in the provided search bar.
• After choosing a particular song, tap on the screen for the edit page to appear. Then scroll towards the left or right to select particular lyrics that you want to appear in the post and also change what part of the song you want to feature. At this step, you can tap on the font icons to alternate through different options on how you want the song to appear visually either with its lyrics or with its cover art.
• Click Done at the top right corner. Then go ahead and add any other effects or stickers that you want.
• Click “Share to Story” to finalize the process.
