  • Firstly; the amount of time the foreigner is going to stay.
  • Secondly; places within the country the foreigners may go to.
  • Thirdly; the dates they may enter.
  • Fourthly; the number of permitted visits.
  • Also; whether the foreigner has the ability to work in that country.

Visas are linked to requests for permission to enter a country. Therefore, in most countries, visas are different from actual formal permission for a foreigner to enter and remain in the country. In each case, a visa is subject to entry permission by an immigration official at the time of actual entry and can be revoked at any time.

Is there a relationship between the travel “visa” and the visa used in credit/debit cards?

Bank-issued debit cards and credit cards have the word VISA written onto the cards.

DEBIT/CREDIT VISA CARDS
DEBIT/CREDIT CARD VISA CARDS

People who have used VISA ATM cards might be wondering if they are the same. But the answer is NO! There is no relationship whatsoever between the travel ‘Visa’ and visa inc. logo used in debit/credit cards. The travel ‘Visa’ is permitted by a country to a foreigner. Such travel Visas allow foreigners to enter and stay in the country and leave that country on or before the expiry of travel ‘Visa’ or Passport. Whereas the Visa logo being used in debit or credit cards is the registered logo of a multinational financial service company headquartered in the United States of America (USA).
